As we reported in June, the APWU has been engaged in informal conversations with management on financial incentives to encourage employees to leave the Postal Service.
Although no official offers have been made, discussions are continuing, APWU President Cliff Guffey has reported.
“I understand that there is great interest in this topic among some members, but it is simply not feasible or smart to conduct negotiations in public,” he said.
“As additional information becomes available, we will keep members informed. This process cannot be rushed. In the meantime, please rest assured that needs of APWU members are uppermost in our mind. We will not be pressured into accepting an offer that is not in the best interests of our members.”

..they continue to remove machines from the Buffalo Plant….tell us our MOS office is overstaffed (yet they have abolished the last 3 jobs of employees who left)….I would take a simple Vera to go and be happy to see a junior MOS clerk keep their job~in whatever city it ends up in!

The Stew has his union propaganda percentages again, 5% take VER and VSIP?, try again most likely 20% will leave, look around you stew and postalvet and others, this is not going to get better or be repaired by unions, the workplaces will continue to deteriorate, the USPS will continue to dismantle itself into Congresses hands into privatization, old line union propaganda is here is from Union plants by the National to preserve the National until they can bail out.

X-stew, you cannot rectify hurting and possibly destroying careers, have you had anyone close excessed to Carrier or other crafts 50 miles away ?, and see them go out on Comp or Disability retirement when they wanted to work,War casualties?, the unions cannot win this War, privatization to some extent is a reality,”you still have a job is old hat, outdated Union propaganda” Guffey and the other Unions know the hammer has come down on us, hopefully we can salvage some of the USPS, but the work back is temporary as PMG will eliminate jobs anyway.
The VER and VSIP would have helped those to go, rather than being excessed into a craft which would have resulted in removal, Comp or disability retirement, if you could personally see these people maybe your hard line outdated union propaganda stance would change, put it simply, no or little communication, excessed employees beyond the norm of excessing ( compared to excessing always happens),in addition, as the Mail Handlers said, open up spots for others while easing some into reitrement.
Getting work back is okay, but the VER and VSIP must no longer be delayed, because USPS is still implementing their plans.
sorry last post had wrong link–

give us vera incentives
You owe it to all APWU
members who qualify to fight for them concerning early out incentives.
Please. This union under Guffey does not have the APWU members uppermost in their mind–that is obvious to us all. How about keeping us informed?? Are you ashamed to share with us what you are holding out for? Let them make an offer and let us decide if it is in our best interest. It is sad to realize that we would be better off without a union. I’m done with the union.
Time to leave the union!!!! Can’t wait!!!!!
