McCracken County Sheriff’s Office – 8/6/26 – On Wednesday, August 5, 2026, detectives with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, working in coordination with the United States Postal Inspection Service, concluded an investigation involving the delivery of a parcel suspected of containing methamphetamine.

During the investigation, detectives observed James Knight, 32, of Apple Valley, California, and Tylor A. Crews, 33, of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, pick up a parcel that had been shipped from Compton, California, to a residence in Paducah.

At approximately 1:38 p.m., detectives observed the vehicle commit traffic infractions and conducted a traffic stop on South 22nd Street in Paducah. During the stop, a McCracken County Sheriff’s Office certified narcotics detection K-9 conducted an open-air sniff of the vehicle and alerted to the odor of illegal narcotics. A subsequent search resulted in the recovery of a quantity of marijuana from Knight’s person, and detectives located the parcel inside the vehicle.

The parcel was found to contain approximately over two pounds of suspected methamphetamine.

Knight was arrested and charged with:

Failure to or Improper Signal

Careless Driving

Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, First Degree (Methamphetamine)

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Failure to Produce an Insurance Card

Possession of Marijuana

Crews was arrested and charged with:

Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, First Degree (Methamphetamine)

Both men have extensive criminal histories and were lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.
