TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — 10/23/24 – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has released more information about the events that may have led up to a deadly stabbing Tuesday.
Authorities now believe the stabbing was the result of an argument between a postal worker and a lawncare professional.
The sheriff’s office said the fight broke out at around 1 p.m. over a vehicle’s parking position on Tanagerlake Road.
Deputies said they found the lawncare worker, 29-year-old Jacob Whitaker, with “upper body trauma” following reports of a stabbing. Whitaker was pronounced dead at the scene.

As a retired Postal worker from Tampa, I can tell you that the stupidest and dumbest human beings I ever worked with were 1) postal management, and 2) NALC union members. I take that back. APWU members are right up there too.
When the box is blocked, skip it and move on.
Both of them are dumb as dumb can be
It’s a shame that two lives are ruined because one of them could not back off
