Trio from Texas, Arizona arrested for raiding Jackson, MS metro postal collection boxes

PEN: On August 5, 2024 the Madison Police Department and the US Postal Service began investigating the break in of several blue postal collection boxes in the metro area to include one large collection box in the City of Madison. Investigators began gathering evidence that led them to a suspect vehicle. This vehicle was located on Lakeland Drive and following a traffic stop, suspected burglary tools were located inside the vehicle.

Investigators with the Madison Police Department, US Postal Service, Capitol Police Department and Hinds County Sheriff’s Department located an additional suspect at the Red Roof Inn off of High Street. Once inside the room, additional evidence to include stolen checks and other packages linking them to the break in was collected. The suspects were identified as 21-year-old La Keith D. Fountain of Houston, TX, 22-year-old Quintin R. Hall of Spring, TX, and 25-year-old Jazmine R. Page of Avondale, AZ. At this time all three suspects were booked into the Madison County Detention Center on charges of petit larceny and were given no bond as the investigation continues.

The investigation revealed that one mailbox containing 133 checks totaling approximately $70,000.00 was broken into at 990 Hwy 51 in the City of Madison, one mailbox in the City of Brandon, MS and four mailboxes in the City of Jackson, MS. Investigators are working with each respective agency to bring this case to a close. Additional charges are expected as the case progresses.
