USPS – 4/02/21 – The U.S. Postal Service continues to track our COVID-19-Related Operating Expenses consistent with our understanding with the Department of the Treasury. As of March 31, 2021, we have been reimbursed for such expenses in the cumulative amount of $8.648B pursuant to the terms of the CARES Act as amended by the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021.

PEN: The Consolidated Appropriations Act was passed by both houses of Congress on December 21, 2020 with large bipartisan majorities in support. The bill was the product of weeks of intense negotiations and compromise between Democrats and Republicans during the lame-duck session. After initially criticizing the bill, President Donald Trump signed it into law on December 27.
