There are a lot of reasons behind delays at the post office this year, from post office workers in quarantine to limits on overtime for postal service staff to fewer sorting machines.
However, one longtime local United States Postal Service manager has another theory: the huge amount of stuff being shipped.
“No one has experienced anything like this, so it’s hard to even fathom that we’re going through this,” he said.
The manager, who reached out to WRAL News anonymously, said that the amount of items being shipped is 30% more than it has ever been before. More at WRAL
