WASHINGTON (ABC7) — Shot while on the job!

A mail carrier was hit in the leg Monday evening. It happened about 5 p.m. near the intersection of 16th and Galen Streets, Southeast. Police say a car drove up and someone began firing. A juvenile was also struck in the leg.

U.S. Postal Inspector Police Officers were on site investigating, but police did not yet have lookout information. Read more
