CLOVIS, Calif. (KFSN) – Dozens of Clovis families said they’re in fear of identity theft after thieves stole mail in an entire neighborhood. The latest rash of mail theft happened Tuesday according to neighbors near Shaw and Temperance.
Nine community mailboxes that neighbors said are easily jimmied open– then they have access to everybody’s mail
On Tuesday Tim Brown said his family and 140 of their neighbors were hit. The shadowy figure caught on surveillance down the street is one clue investigators have. This theft for the Browns though, was just the beginning of their problems.
“Now we have to go down to the post office and wait in a long line for 30-minutes to get our mail,” said Jen Brown, mail theft victim. Read more
