Video: FedEx Customers Furious As Deliveries Fail To Arrive By Christmas

BOSTON (CBS) — FedEx stores around the country are open on Christmas as the shipping company tries to make up for the fact that it couldn’t make all of its scheduled deliveries in time for the holiday.

A few unhappy customers spent part of their Christmas morning at the local FedEx in South Boston, wanting to know where their packages were.

Some were lucky enough to walk out with boxes in tow, others left empty-handed.

One Boston man told WBZ News Radio 1030 that his gifts were supposed to be in Christmas Eve, but never showed up.

“They obviously have a lot of stuff on their plate right now,” he said. “I’m happy I can just come by and pick it up.”

But a look at the shipping company’s Facebook page show that some customers are not as forgiving. More from CBS Boston

  1. I had gift cards coming via UPS…no choice on the ship. Did not show up. I t appears that we USPS were the only ones to get all of our stuff done by the 24th. The media wont pick up on that though
