Video Update: Postal worker accused of intentionally hitting woman with mail truck

WEYMOUTH, Mass. (MyFoxboston.com) – Police in Weymouth say a postal worker allegedly hit a woman on purpose Sunday in Weymouth.
The mail carrier, 40-year-old Edmund Hagerty of Whitman, was delivering packages Sunday night when he allegedly hit Amy Conlin.
Conlin, who was hospitalized after the crash, went out into the street to stop the driver according to a police report.
“Because of the bumps in the road you could tell he was speeding, and when he came down, he was revving and he came down and Amy Conlin, my neighbor, stood out front so he couldn’t go any further,” Mary Ficociello said,
The police report says Hagerty and Conlin got into a fight, and that’s when he swerved the mail truck toward her before hitting the gas and driving into her. Read more
