A Knoxville boy who idolizes his mailman got to go on a surprise-filled visit to Postman Mike’s Post Office.

(WBIR-KNOXVILLE) A four-year-old boy who idolizes his neighborhood mailman finally got to see the other half of ‘Postman Mike’s job this week.

Carter Lawson wants to be a post man when he grows up and has grown close with his family’s mailman. So close that they have matching outfits and the two walk through the neighborhood delivering mail and talking to neighbors.

But Carter had never gotten the chance to see what working in a post office is really like.

To make Carter’s behind-the-scenes post office visit special, Mike and his colleagues planned a big surprise.
