DRIPPING SPRINGS, Texas — The U.S. Postal Service has opened a mail theft investigation into a postal contractor after several complaints in a Dripping Springs neighborhood.
“I know for a fact we’re missing nine birthday cards for my kids from the past month,” said Stephanie Pope.
She added that the cards contained nearly $500 in cash, gift cards, and checks. It’s not the first time she’s had issues.
“We had some other things mailed to us that didn’t show up, including a $1,500 retainer that was my daughter’s, which I don’t know- may have looked like a little gift,” said Pope.
Pamela McKnight, who lives nearby, said she has experienced similar issues. Her son is missing birthday cards, which totaled $200 in cash and gift cards.
“It certainly has an impact on your confidence. And from my kids perspective, who lost money, it’s disappointing for them,” said McKnight. Read more
