DENVER – A military mom is heartbroken after she mailed her deployed son a family treasure, only to have it go missing the mail.

Donna McNulty, a retired police officer, said she wanted her son, Grant, to have the American flag that belonged to his late grandfather, also a serviceman.

“So he would have a piece of my dad with him while he was deployed,” McNulty said. “I packaged it up, put it in a care package and sent it off along with several other items.”

McNulty said she sent two boxes to her son more than a month ago, and just recently found out neither arrived. Read more
