– UPDATE – March 31, 2014
It seems USPS has changed their minds regarding their new site SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT (available soon from ALL computers). They have decided to make their site accessible to all – including the general public…we (PEN) believe they should have built the site with that foremost in their planning.
The following comment was made by Toni DeLancey, USPS Corporate Communications at the Postal Affairs blog of Lisa Bowes at intelisent:
“We agree wholeheartedly that “set the record straight” would be beneficial both internally and externally. The site is a collection of articles, letters to the editor and other externally published items in a single place.
Work is already underway — and was from the start — to add these items to our external about/usps.com site. The internal site was our “soft launch,” as we gathered sufficient material to make it worthwhile posting externally too.
Watch for it soon and thanks for reading.”

USPS sets the record straight — online
New website provides responses to inaccuracies
March 25, 2014
A new website is available for employees who want to know where USPS stands on issues in the news.
The Postal Service has launched USPS sets the record straight (accessible from USPS computers) — an internal website providing postal responses to the misperceptions, misunderstandings or mistakes that sometimes occur.
The website — which includes postings of stories that recently appeared in Link — is an employee resource, with postings from Public Relations, Internal Communications and from the field. There’s information on the Postal Service’s responses to hot-button issues such as the USPS partnership with Staples, load leveling, plant consolidations and service.
It’s all part of the Postal Service’s continuing effort to correct inaccurate information.
As one of the most trusted U.S. government agencies, USPS is working to maintain trust by continuing to set the record straight.
