BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – 11/25/14 – For the first time in nearly a week, all of the postal carrier routes around Buffalo are back to delivering the mail.
Some mail–in West Seneca for instance–went undelivered for 5 days last week because post office vehicles were affected by travel bans, just like everyone else.
“There were about 30 post offices last week that had no retail services, partially because people could not get to them, and sometimes employees could not get to them, to staff,” said Karen Mazurkiewicz, spokesperson for the U.S. Postal Service in Buffalo.
Mazurkiewicz said postal officials are going all out to get caught up with their backlog, even bringing in staff on overtime, and deliverying mail on Sunday. Read more
