October 10, 2014 – A federal jury has found a former Lafayette postal worker guilty of taking gift cards from the U.S Mail. The jury found 41-year-old Crystal Boutte guilty on two counts of mail theft after a three day trial. Boutte stole four Walmart gift cards from the mail while working for the U.S. Postal Service in December 2012.the four gifts cards were worth $275,000.
