SUMMERDALE (WPVI) – Police are on the hunt for a man wanted in a deadly shooting in Philadelphia’s Summerdale neighborhood.
They tell us a U.S. postal worker helped them collect evidence after the alleged murder weapon was found inside a mailbox.
It happened just before 5 p.m. Monday along the 1000 block of Alcott Street near Summerdale Avenue.
Police say two men were arguing when calls to 911 reported gunshots right in front of the Dominican corner store, right in front of surveillance cameras.
“Then you can see the shooter firing one shot striking the victim in the leg. The victim tried to run and he collapsed,” said Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small. “And then you can clearly see the shooter standing over the victim, firing multiple shots while the victim is lying on the street.” Read more
