Video: Cobb County, GA couple – Is the post office forging signatures?

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — A Cobb County couple are trying to find out if someone at the post office is forging signatures.

The Barker family showed Channel 2’s Dave Huddleston a piece of U.S. Postal Service stationary. On the paper was a signature. However, that signature did not belong to Joseph Barker.

“I was shocked,” Barker’s wife, Cynthia, said. “I said, ‘Who signed for it?’ and she looked at it and said, ‘Barker.’”

The Barkers were on vacation and returned home to check their mailbox. They say they found time-sensitive certified mail inside.

“Certified mail usually requires a signature and a return receipt,” Barker said.

Joseph Barker said the signature on the sheet did not match his signature, so he went to the local post office to get answers. Read More
