LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Eric Bennett is charged with attempted murder and Marcus Bennett is charged with assault.

According to court documents, the shooting was over a missing package of drugs.

Both men have a history of drug charges.

In one case from 2010, Eric Bennett was caught with more than 200 grams of cocaine. Police said he put a police officer’s life in danger while he was being arrested.

Eric Bennett was arrested on Feb. 16, charged with shooting a U.S. Postal Service mail carrier one week earlier in Louisville.
On Monday his brother Marcus Bennett was arraigned in federal court.

Police said Marcus Bennett was in the car when Eric Bennett shot the postal carrier. Read more
