Chicago postal worker Darnell Hamilton championed his street smarts on “Survivor” but he needed some water smarts instead.

Hamilton, 28, was the first contestant kicked off the 32nd season of “Survivor” after he accidentally dropped his team’s goggles during a challenge to pull paddles out of the ocean and place them in a boat. Hamilton’s teammates had difficulty seeing the paddles and they lost the challenge and immunity prize in Wednesday’s episode.

“I was one of the key reasons why we lost today,” Hamilton admitted to his five teammates in the “brawn” tribe. The 18 castaways are divided into three tribes: Brawn, brains and beauty. Read more
