It’s coming – the 2024 Presidential Election – and along with-it millions of mail-in ballots. Once again USPS will be out front of these ballots and once again, we expect problems all across the USA – not from USPS, but from political arenas and news media…most especially if the election results are not in their favor.
We hope to share with you some of the news surrounding mail-in ballots. Some of this news we agree with – some we do not. You decide.
9/16/24 – APWU President Mark Dimondstein Responds to Trump’s Truth Social Post – Mark says, “On September 15, former President Donald Trump said that the Postal Service could not be trusted to deliver election mail, an attack on the 650,000 dedicated public servants that make up the United States Postal Service.”
Actually Mark, the national news media seem to agree with Trump. There are daily news articles relating concern over mail-in ballots for the November election – have you not seen these? I feel you have seen these news articles but since Trump made a statement you want to take issue with him and not the other reporters – correct? How about these articles:
- 9/12/24 – PBS – Election official explains concerns over USPS ability to handle mail-in voting
- 9/11/24 – Politico – Election officials urge Postal Service to fix delivery problems with mail-in ballots
- 9/11/24 – PEN – NASED, NASS, and Local Election Official Associations Send Joint Letter to USPS Postmaster General
- 9/16/24 – Reuters – Pennsylvania court rules against allowing misdated mail-in votes
- 9/11/24 – KBTX – Brazos County, TX residents concerned about mailing in ballots due to recent USPS delays
- 9/11/24 – New York Times – Top Election Officials Warn Postal Service of Mail Ballot Issues
These are only a small percentage of mail-in ballot concerns published over the past few days – there are hundreds more out there. These reporters are also concerned over USPS mail delays – not USPS employees.
Want to respond to some of the above articles Mark? Didn’t think so.
