Service alert. USPS News Link – 9/3/19 – The Service Alerts section (posted below) on usps.com has the latest information on Hurricane Dorian, which has affected the Bahamas and threatens Florida and other states along the southeast coast.
Due to mandatory evacuation orders, more than 140 Post Offices have suspended service throughout the Southeast, including 83 in South Carolina. Five processing plants in the two states are also temporarily closed. Employees should check the USPS National Emergency Hotline number for the latest information on their facility’s operating status. The toll-free number, found on the back of most employee badges, is 1-888 EMERGNC (1-888-363-7462).
Postal Bulletin. The Postal Bulletin’s Aug. 29 edition covers workplace safety, including tips on avoiding slips, trips and falls.

USPS – 9/3/19 – Hurricane Dorian is bringing high winds and heavy rain to the southeast coast of Florida, and is expected to also impact Georgia, the Carolinas and southeast Virginia over the coming days. The Postal Service continues to monitor conditions for the safety of its employees and the security of mail. See below for disruptions to mail service in your area.
