Disabled veteran says destroyed cluster mailbox is affecting his life

A Jacksonville disabled veteran said he’s been waiting weeks for the United States Postal Service to install a new community mailbox.

The cluster mailbox in the Cypress Cove subdivision was destroyed by a hit-and-run driver in January.

“I don’t have time to go to the post office and wait for 20 to 40 minutes minimum just to pick up my mail,” Michael Wallington said.

Wallington uses a cane for his broken back and the screws in his hips. He said standing in line takes a toll on his body. Read more at CBS Fox Jacksonville
