USPS – 12.04.14 – The latest edition of Your Postal Podcast profiles two letter carriers who’ve received high praise in their communities.

Greenville, SC, Letter Carrier Christopher Brown gained national attention when he helped save a boy who fell unconscious while choking on a piece of plastic.

The story was reported in the local newspaper and soon went viral online. Brown and the mother and child later appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”

“It’s been amazing,” Brown says.

Also profiled: Boise Letter Carrier Gretchen Young, who was recently named Idaho Postal Carrier of the Year by the state’s libraries commission.

Young was nominated by a customer who suffers from vision loss and depends on Young to deliver audio books.
