  1. What a Joke, why doe’s it take for people to lose their lives before the Postal Service, or the Postal Inspection Service, intervenes. If the Letter Carriers union, or anyone else who claims to have the Letter Carriers best interest at heart would stand up to the powers that be,maybe just maybe this would not have happened. Why do carriers have to be out after dark? It would seem that common sense would prevail and move the processing operation up, so that the carriers could come in earlier and get out on the street earlier. It is absolutley unsafe out on the street delivering mail after dark. I pray that the family of Tyson Barnette be okay. Just think their love one waas killed, payed the ultimate price just to do his job. How many carriers do you think are out there in the dark who have been assaulted, bit by dogs, threatened, accosted, just trying to do their jobs. What Puzzles me deeply is that I know that the postal inspection service knows that half of a thug’s battle is won, with the cover of darkness, why have’nt they interjected anything into this problem? And as far as this being the new normal, like they want it to be only more of us will become targets out on the streets….. Are you kidding me?
