Lorna Fan started using the blue collection box in her neighborhood in Aiea, because mail was stolen from her private mailbox on her street. She never expected this would happen. “On that day, actually Saturday, I put the outgoing G.E. Tax to the state.”
That’s when US Post office inspectors say the box was stolen. The blue mail collection box was noticed missing from its location on Monday afternoon, of March 21st. A sign went up shortly after, warning users that if they put mail in the box after Saturday at 1:30pm they should report their loss to HPD and the US Post Office. Read more
