Video: Mail carrier credited for saving little girl from dog attack

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) – 12/08/15 – It was just another day for U.S. Postal Service Mail Carrier Mark Pizzo as he delivered parcels and packages in Rock Hill two weeks ago.
“I was doing the end part of my route. I pulled up to the cul-de-sac,” Pizzo said. But he quickly noticed something wasn’t right.
“I see the dog struggling with the little girl,” Pizzo said.
It didn’t take Pizzo long to realize if he didn’t act, something terrible was about to happen.
“I yelled out of my truck. When I yelled out of my truck, nothing happened. Then I heard her scream. I’ll never forget the scream. The scream I will never forget for as long as I live,” Pizzo said. Read more

  1. While some may look at this act as very impressive and rare I dont ,because Mark was our mail carrier in Pottstown Pa and besides his awesome work ethic and undeniable reliability he was one of the few men that ALWAYS looked out for everyone he crossed paths with on his route and I am sure everywhere else off the job as well . I hope the residents of Rock Hill SC understand how lucky they are to have a man like him not only delivering in their area but keeping up his high level of gittin it done no matter what the situation may be as he does so . Oh and just a note to the USPS .. the LAST time we had good REGULAR mail delivery was when Mark was on the job here !!!
