For a variety of reasons, several letter carriers were out delivering mail well past 10:00 Tuesday night.

One carrier was spotted near the Thornton Post Office at East 88th Avenue and Washington Street at 11:30 p.m.

“I was sitting outside when the mail carrier came,” said Thornton resident Mayerling Muro. “It was about 10:00 [p.m.]. I really was shocked because he had a lamp on his head and I just thought, ‘poor guy.’” Read more

  1. Yeah I’m a mail carrier and the late night does happen sometimes mostly after a holiday and some carriers don’t care about subs who have to do whatever we are told so the regulars call in a lot in which we are out late doing our work and theirs. It’s all ok until one of us carriers get robbed or killed . No more breathing body to deliver that route oh well we will just be replaced no biggie . Sad just sad.
