An investigation is underway in Bristow after a 7-year-old was sprayed with pepper spray by a postal worker.
Officials said there is an ongoing issue in the area with loose dogs chasing mail carriers.
“One of our postmen was bitten about a week or two ago on the other side of town. It’s been kind of a thorn, you know? Because a lot of dogs run loose. They aren’t supposed to, but they do,” said resident Ruth Tidwell.
Police said that last Saturday the 7-year-old girl was brought to the station by her grandparents. They reported that a postal worker sprayed the child and their pet Chihuahua with pepper spray. Read more
