OKLAHOMA CITY —  An Oklahoma City man says his home surveillance system recorded a U.S. Postal Service employee recklessly handling his mail packages.

Pedro Gonzales says he installed security cameras on his home to keep thieves from stealing his packages.

  1. The carrier’a behavior running around the mail truck is a safety procedure. Anytime you plan to backup u must check around the vehicle for hazards, people etc.

  2. This is NOT a regular, full-time mail carrier! I suspect it is a CCA or city carrier assistant. Notice the lack of proper footwear and official USPS pants.

    Management is to blame because these temporary carriers are expected to RUN all day overloaded to the point that they usually cannot take time for their two, 10 minute breaks or 30 minute lunch. Blame management for allowing and causing this unprofessional and unacceptable behavior.

    Please bring this video to the attention of your local postmaster and if you get no response, try to contact the postal inspectors or city postmaster above your local management.

    Although packages get tossed into hampers regularly when manually sorted by clerks, they should not be thrown around by the carriers! This can and DOES lead to damage that inconveniences our customers on BOTH ends (shipper and receiver).
