Missing Priority Mail bags found

Remember those mail bags that went missing last winter? Montana farm workers found them.

The two bright orange priority mail bags apparently fell from the open hatch of a mail plane.

At first, the Postal Service thought they might be in the Bob Marshall Wilderness, but later figured they were probably closer to Great Falls.

Sure enough, a field worker found the first bag March 22. The second was picked up May 18.

We talked to a Bigfork man this morning who had a missing package. In the box? His son’s contact lens order.

The bags contained 25 pieces of mail. Some of it has moisture damage, but the boxes themselves held up fairly well.
