The Senate Subcommittee on Financial Services and General Government has approved a Fiscal Year 2015 appropriations bill that includes, as it has for decades, the language mandating that the Postal Service deliver the mail six days a week. “We applaud this news, and we strongly encourage the senators on the full appropriations committee to vote to retain the language as well,” NALC President Fredric Rolando said. 
Meanwhile, the NALC continues to urge members of the full House day language in the House measure. That committee meets tomorrow at 10 a.m. to consider its bill.
