A settlement in the lawsuit covers the 3-NALC News Smallbeneficiaries of deceased NALC and APWU employees who were employed by the Postal Service during the period that the Annuity Protection Plan was in effect, from July 21, 1981, through Nov. 20, 1994. The beneficiaries of such deceased employees may be entitled to additional life insurance benefits or interest on their benefits. For more information, click here. 1. I am not sure if this apply to me. My husband, RICHARD LEON TATE, died July 9, 1991. He was employed with the Postal Service at the time of death. Please inform me if I am included in this class action.

Wanda – we cannot advise you on this – as the NALC stated in the article send an email to: classaction@steinmitchell.com

  2. My husband Tracy was employed by the Postal Service as a Rural Route carrier from 1996 (approx) till 2010 – when he passed away in April 2010. He was still employed at the Post Office at his time of death. I believe the benefits have been paid properly – you might find out differently. Thank you for checking into this for me!

Lisa – you would need to contact the official USPS…we do not have access to employee records. PEN
