Revenue growth exceeds forecasts
According to recent quarterly and year-to-year numbers, Express Mail is showing consistent revenue growth.
Express Mail revenue increased going into the third quarter of this fiscal year — up slightly from the same time last year and up 6.5 percent compared to recent forecasts. In fact, Express Mail has one of the highest dollar contributions per mailpiece and is an important part of the Postal Service’s shipping portfolio.
“Express Mail is one of the best deals in shipping,” said Domestic Products VP Gary Reblin. “It represents the best the Postal Service can offer in a world-class product with first-rate service at a terrific price point.”
These encouraging economic signs coincide with recent release of the Postal Service’s newest packaging option — the Express Mail Padded Flat Rate Envelope. This product is ideal for shippers who need to send lightweight items overnight and blends convenience, speed and value.
