The 36-month contract covers 130,000 employees
4/18/25 – The Postal Service and the National Rural Letter Carriers’ Association (NRLCA) have reached a tentative negotiated agreement.
Upon ratification by the union membership, which will take several weeks, the agreement will run through May 20, 2027.
“This agreement is economically responsible, fair to our employees and serves the best interest of our customers,” said Acting Postmaster General Doug Tulino. “The agreement aligns with the Delivering for America 10-year plan’s intent to provide reliable, value-driven mail and package delivery service to all Americans in fulfillment of our universal service obligation.”
The NRLCA represents more than 130,000 rural letter carriers nationwide.

that operate out of more than 10,000 rural and suburban postal delivery centers servicing

rcas get screwed royally..I am one…we work extra time compared to the regular carriers but they get paid more then we do they get the benefits while we are here struggling to eithr get just 1 day off..or get full time hours
The proposed new contract totally sells out the RCAs. For the past few years the NRLCA has talked about doing something to ease the burden of many overworked RCAs but the do nothing about it! CCAs are giving the opportunity to quit working after 12 hour days or 60 hour weeks…why didn’t RCAs get the same? CCAs become career after a two year period, why don’t RCAs? CCAs received much better pay compensation than RCAs! The NRLCA did nothing to help RCAs! It’s going to be a BIG “NO” when voting to ratify!!!
