Chief Human Resources Officer Isaac Cronkhite oversees the Postal Service’s efforts to engage employees, improve workplaces, and foster and cultivate talent.
USPS News Link – 6/14/19 – Isaac Cronkhite has been named the Postal Service’s chief human resources officer, a position he has held on an acting basis since January.
Cronkhite leads the organization’s efforts to engage employees, strengthen workplace experiences, and foster and cultivate talent to ensure workers are positioned to meet customers’ evolving needs.
In a June 13 memo announcing Cronkhite’s appointment, Postmaster General Megan J. Brennan wrote that he is “a transformational leader, highly focused on enabling, empowering and developing the men and women of our workforce. Throughout his career, he has been at the forefront of efforts to better leverage technology, data and business insights to enhance performance and unlock the potential of our people.”
Cronkhite previously served as enterprise analytics vice president, where he oversaw the implementation of the Internal Service Performance Measurement (SPM) system, led the Customer Experience Council, provided real-time analytics and network performance information to customers, and directed the rollout of diagnostic tools. He also developed and launched Analytics University, which provides training to more than 29,000 frontline supervisors and managers.
Other previous assignments include processing operations manager in Washington, DC; senior plant manager in Richmond, VA; and plant manager in Brockton, MA.

Really, is this guy gonna tell me how to do my job, when he’s never done it….like a bunch of other supervisors. And he’s getting paid wwwhhhaaattt!! No wonder the post office is losing money. How about fss. 250billion dollar machines not even being used..Come on man
I am going to go out on a limb here, I would bet dollars to stale donuts that Mr. Cronkhite did NOT serve in the military. Teamwork and unleashing a persons ability is something that the military was very good at because the people in charge had to work hard and learn before they went on to teach others. I have seen many a man in fancy suits and titles stroll down the workroom floor as we were casing mail and had no clues or input to what we were doing nor did they seem to care. Again I ask, how does a company that is on the verge of financial disaster have so many phony job titles with great salaries? We the long time carriers are the front line grunts of this company and we’ll never have to shy away from a mirror on payday.
so, someone with no background in human resources is the VP of Human Resources for the postal service. is this some sort of joke? what company in the private sector hires a VP of HR with no experience in HR?
Another overpaid, underworked clown who contributes nothing to the movement nor delivery of the mail.
Foster and cultivate talent? We are putting a letter or two into a mailbox, I could’ve seriously taught my job to a 3rd grader if they were old enough to drive a vehicle. Bottom line, the guy knew somebody and got himself a high paying position with a company that thinks bullying is proper. This company rips the work ethic out of a person sooner or later. I hope he knows that.
