There were some very tense moments for those living on Chestnut Street Tuesday afternoon. However, one man who was in the right place at the right time did what he could to help.

Around noon, chaos began.

“Me and my children were sitting under the garage and we heard something go boom and fire just started coming this way,” said resident John Jefferson. “We ran.”

Cell phone video shows flames erupting.

“You could see the fire dripping from the trees getting close to homes.”
