Investigators Arrest Rialto Woman for Mail Theft and are Looking for Two Other Suspects

7/31/25 – On Sunday, July 27, 2025, at approximately 7:30pm, Destiny Coles and two unidentified suspects arrived at the United States Post Office located in Lytle Creek. The suspects forced entry into several locked mailboxes at the post office and stole packages and mail. A witness took a picture of the suspect vehicle as it fled. Detectives from the Fontana Sheriff’s Station identified the vehicle as a white 2016 Volkswagen Jetta registered to Destiny Coles.

On Wednesday, July 30, 2025, Fontana Station detectives stopped the suspect vehicle in the city of Rialto. Destiny Coles was arrested and found to be in possession of over 100 pieces of stolen mail, identity theft material and a cloned United States Postal Service master key. The recovered stolen mail was stolen from the cities of Lytle Creek, Fontana, Rialto, San Bernardino, Rancho Cucamonga, Colton and Highland. Detectives arrested Coles and booked her into the West Valley Detention Center where she is currently being held without bail.

Detectives are releasing a photo of the suspect vehicle to identify additional victims. Detectives and inspectors with the United States Postal Service are also asking for the public’s help with identifying the additional suspects.
