RICHMOND, Va., (WRIC) — A month after the U.S. Postal Service hosted a meeting to talk about mail issues in Richmond’s East End, residents told 8News the issues aren’t getting solved.
For some, not only isn’t mail arriving but when it does, it’s found in unlikely places.
Neighbors are relying on each other instead of the postal service to make sure their mail makes it to their house. But some are left wondering, if and when USPS will address the issue.
“I feel helpless because there’s not much I can do,” said Church Hill resident Paul Granger.
For over a decade, Granger and his family have called Church Hill home.
“Of my block, at least three of my neighbors have had that same issue of mail going regularly going to some other address,” said Granger.
So Granger signed up for the informed delivery app through USPS.
“You can see the number of mail pieces, the number of packages over a period of time,” said Granger. “You can also see what you are supposed to get today, yesterday.”
Over the course of the past two weeks, the app showed pictures of seven pieces of mail Granger was supposed to receive. But how many showed up?
“And I only received two of those,” said Granger. More at WRIC
