KEWANNA — A local town post office is in danger of crumbling. People in Kewanna worry it could be unsafe for workers and the public. They also want to make sure the US Postal Service doesn’t move their facility out of town.
The people who live in Kewanna are passionate about their hometown.
“I like the small-knit, friendship,” says Michael Mihalik who has lived in Kewanna for 24 years, “it’s like family for us.”
“Everybody knows everybody. Everybody helps everybody,” says Dan Birge, who is on the town board and has lived in Kewanna for 38 years.
