Last week, House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) sent President Obama a letter, requesting that he — the President of the U.S. — propose three postal provisions to a House drafted stop-gap government spending bill. And, today, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) blamed House Democrats for the failure of the House majority — the GOP — to bring up a postal bill. With only two legislative days left before Congress recesses until after the November 6 election, these are indeed strange times.
