Implementation Process begins as Customer Surveys are Scheduled to be Sent on August 29
The Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC) has issued an Advisory Opinion in Support of the Postal Service’s Post Office Structure Plan (POStPlan.) The PRC found that the Postal Service had included many of the Commission’s recommendations in the plan, but also offered recommendations they felt would improve the implementation and later review of the plan. The PRC Advisory Opinion can be found here.
The Postal Service plans to begin implementing the plan in vacant offices as early as August 29, when the first customer surveys will be sent out. Districts will follow the timeline implementation on a weekly basis, with completion scheduled by 2014.
Changes to the SOV/CSV formula are scheduled to be available soon, and will be posted on the NAPUS SOV link as soon as the information is received. For more information on how to calculate the earned hours for your office, you are encouraged to visit the NAPUS POStPlan link on the NAPUS website at http://www.napus.org/post-plan/postplan-information/and click on SOV.
