Was this mailman stealing an Amazon package? Or, was he returning a package to the post office that did not have proper postage? Hard to tell from this video.

I believe as a 24 year letter carrier that the package was delivered to the wrong house and he was being nice to correct it or it was a forward.so don’t believe everything you see do some investigating before you jump to conclusions.also the people in that video commenting could of known if they were expecting an amazon package alos and me personally if they use my box I just put it on the floor like they do 99% of the time anyway without even ringing your bell!!!
As a 20 yr veteran as a city carrier and former Superviso to me this doesn’t look like the carrier is stealing the package.
These mailboxes are used for USPS ONLY not for any other carriers such as UPS,FED-EX, ONTRACK or ANY other type of delivery service. What the carrier might’ve done is he saw a package in the mailbox that could’ve NOT only been misdelivered but it also might’ve been delivered such other delivery service mentioned above. In that case the carrier has the right away to retrieve the package and return it to the PO for proper handling such as sending back to the correct delivery service….
Also the recipient might’ve been moved out and the carrier noticed that is a valid forward. USPS has been hiring new employees for the season and they’re not aware of the new tenant.
