Vicki Kennedy Testifies on Capitol Hill

Vicki Kennedy, the widow of the late Sen. Ted Kennedy, appeared before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee to testify about her nomination to the board of governors of the U.S. Postal Service. vicki-kennedy

Mrs. Kennedy expressed her concern regarding the problems that haunt USPS – she warned that further cutbacks could hurt the agency even further. She said:

“Anytime you have a cutback in service in any way, whether its delivery standards, whether its daily delivery, you know six days a week…I think it’s a black eye. I think it hurts us, and we want people to feel that the postal service is excellent in every way,” Kennedy said.
