Who says the Postal Service doesn\u2019t have a sense of humor?<\/p>\n

The satirical newspaper\u00a0<\/span>The Onion<\/em>\u00a0<\/span>poked fun at USPS this week, publishing\u00a0<\/span>a story<\/em><\/a>\u00a0<\/span>that claimed the Postal Service has introduced a line of stamps honoring people who \u201cstill use\u201d the mail.<\/p>\n

Among the honorees, according to\u00a0<\/span>The Onion<\/em>: an Oregon woman who mails a birthday card to her nephew each year and a New York schoolteacher who has her students send letters to their state senator each fall.<\/p>\n

The Postal Service poked back on Twitter,\u00a0<\/span>sending<\/em><\/a>\u00a0<\/span>The Onion<\/em>\u00a0<\/span>a mock stamp image that showed \u2014 what else? \u2014 onions. \u201cStay tuned for the 2015 program,\u201d USPS wrote. \u201cYou may make the cut, too!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe can laugh with the best of them,\u201d Public Relations Sr. Manager Toni DeLancey\u00a0<\/span>told the Federal Times<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n
