{"id":9780,"date":"2015-01-20T18:34:33","date_gmt":"2015-01-20T23:34:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/?p=9780"},"modified":"2015-01-20T18:34:33","modified_gmt":"2015-01-20T23:34:33","slug":"alabama-district-employees-thanked-for-customer-service","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/2015\/01\/20\/alabama-district-employees-thanked-for-customer-service\/","title":{"rendered":"Alabama District employees thanked for customer service"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Praise for performance<\/h1>\n<h2>Alabama District employees thanked for customer service<\/h2>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/liteblue.usps.gov\/news\/link\/2015\/01jan\/images\/news21s2.jpg\" alt=\"Holiday thanks\" width=\"220\" \/><\/div>\n<h6>Huntsville Letter Carrier John Moore<br \/>\nreceives recognition from Alabama<br \/>\nDistrict Manager Mary Sullivan.<\/h6>\n<p>Alabama District Manager Mary Sullivan recently visited Post Offices throughout the state to thank employees for a job well done during the holiday season.<\/p>\n<p>USPS<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><em><a href=\"https:\/\/liteblue.usps.gov\/news\/link\/2015\/01jan\/news07s1.htm\" target=\"_blank\">exceeded its projections<\/a><\/em><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>in December, delivering approximately 524 million packages, up 18 percent from the previous year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur customers had confidence in the Postal Service \u2014 and you all came through for them,\u201d Sullivan said.<\/p>\n<p>At Huntsville\u2019s Mastin Lake Station, Sullivan took a moment to recognize Letter Carrier John Moore Jr., whose work delivering packages on Christmas Day was the subject of a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.19actionnews.com\/story\/27708018\/santas-helpers-bring-gifts-on-christmas-day-via-usps\" target=\"_blank\"><em>TV news report<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>After viewing the broadcast, Huntsville customer William Tyson called reporter Lauren Bale to compliment her on the story and get Moore\u2019s contact information.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis guy was so impressive. He has the best attitude of any postal worker I have ever met,\u201d said Tyson, who sent Moore a card to thank him for his dedication.<\/p>\n<p>Moore has been a Postal Service employee for 31 years, including 29 in the Huntsville area.<\/p>\n<p>Said Sullivan: \u201cJohn did an outstanding job representing our business by exemplifying all that is behind our postal brand.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Praise for performance Alabama District employees thanked for customer service Huntsville Letter Carrier John Moore receives recognition from Alabama District Manager Mary Sullivan.
