Los Angeles District also decorated three 2-ton trucks for the parade.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA huge roar could be heard and people jumped to their feet applauding our carriers,\u201d said District Marketing Manager Lawnet Bates.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe wanted to show the community that we\u2019re ready to deliver the holidays,\u201d Bates said. \u201cIt turned out to be a great experience \u2014 seeing and hearing the public\u2019s response and appreciation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 83rd Hollywood Christmas Parade will be shown Dec. 19 on the Hallmark Channel and broadcast on many local stations Dec. 20-25.
