And the Postal Service can help you prove it when Santa replies to your child\u2019s letter to Santa \u2014 complete with a North Pole postmark!<\/p>\n<p>Here are the steps for your child to get a letter back from Santa:<\/p>\n<ol type=\"1\">\n<li>Have your child write a letter to Santa and seal it in an envelope addressed to: Santa Claus, North Pole.<\/li>\n<li>Tell your child that you\u2019ll place a stamp on the envelope and mail it to St. Nick for him or her.<\/li>\n<li>Later, when alone, open the envelope, read the letter and write Santa\u2019s response on the back of the child\u2019s letter. Have Santa write: \u201cIt\u2019s important to be green and save paper. That\u2019s why I\u2019m writing on the back.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>When responding as Santa, reference your child\u2019s accomplishments not included in his or her letter, i.e., Santa is so proud that you volunteered to help ____, or Santa is really impressed with the great job you\u2019re doing in school \u2014 especially with math, etc. Sign it Santa Claus with a P.S. to get to bed early Christmas Eve.<\/li>\n<li>Place the letter into a new envelope addressed to the child at his or her home. Be sure to include: Santa Claus, North Pole, as the return address on the envelope. Don\u2019t forget to apply a First-Class stamp \u2014 such as a recently issued<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/about.usps.com\/news\/national-releases\/2014\/pr14_058.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Santa or Rudolph<\/a><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>Forever stamp.<\/li>\n<li>Place the stamped envelope in a larger envelope (or Priority Mail envelope) with adequate postage addressed to:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>NORTH POLE HOLIDAY POSTMARK<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\nPOSTMASTER<br \/>\n4141 POSTMARK DR<br \/>\nANCHORAGE AK 99530-9998<\/p>\n<ol type=\"1\">\n<li>Letters from Santa must be received by the Anchorage, AK, Postmaster no later than Dec. 15, 2014.<\/li>\n<li>The Anchorage Postmaster will open the envelope, remove Santa\u2019s letter addressed to your child, apply the North Pole postmark and mail it back home.<\/li>\n<li>When Santa\u2019s letter arrives, have your camera ready when you ask your child to open the letter and read it to you.<\/li>\n<li>Share the photos on Twitter and Facebook using the hashtag #SantaLetters.
