The memo outlines a procedure for filling residual vacancies in the Clerk, Maintenance and Motor Vehicle Crafts.<\/p>\n<p>The MOU was due to expire on Oct. 31 for employees Clerk Craft, but continue for employees in the Maintenance and MVS Crafts. An<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.apwu.org\/sites\/apwu\/files\/resource-files\/MOU%20Extend%20Filling%20of%20Residual%20Vacancies.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">agreement signed Oct. 31 extends the Memorandum of Understanding for clerks<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The MOU has resulted in the conversion of more than 5,200 Postal Support Employees (PSEs) to career status in the Clerk Craft, more than 3,000 in Maintenance Craft, and hundreds in the Motor Vehicle Service Craft.<\/p>\n<p class=\"last\">\u201cI am pleased we were able to extend the MOU, which forged a path to career status for so many PSEs,\u201d said APWU President Mark Dimondstein.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/1aa-APWU-small.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7249\" src=\"https:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/1aa-APWU-small.gif\" alt=\"1aa-APWU-small\" width=\"295\" height=\"182\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>10\/31\/2014\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0The APWU and USPS have agreed to extend a\u00a0March 20 Memorandum of Understanding Re: Filling Residual Vacancies\u00a0for employees in the Clerk Craft.
