{"id":8851,"date":"2014-10-29T09:17:43","date_gmt":"2014-10-29T14:17:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/?p=8851"},"modified":"2014-10-29T09:18:46","modified_gmt":"2014-10-29T14:18:46","slug":"apwu-plans-taking-shape-for-national-day-of-action-nov-14","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/2014\/10\/29\/apwu-plans-taking-shape-for-national-day-of-action-nov-14\/","title":{"rendered":"APWU: Plans Taking Shape for National Day of Action \u2013 Nov. 14"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 class=\"node-title\">Plans Taking Shape for National Day of Action \u2013 Nov. 14<\/h3>\n<div class=\"field field-name-field-article-deck field-type-text field-label-hidden field-wrapper\"><strong><em>Tell PMG, Board of Governors: Stop Delaying America&#8217;s Mail!<\/em><\/strong><\/div>\n<p><span class=\"news-date-inline\"><span class=\"date-display-single\">10\/29\/2014<\/span><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>&#8211;<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Plans are taking shape for a National Day of Action on Nov. 14, when members of the four postal unions and supporters will send a powerful message to Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe and the USPS Board of Governor\u2019s:<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><em>Stop Delaying America\u2019s Mail. <a href=\"https:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/1aa-APWU-small.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-7249\" src=\"https:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/1aa-APWU-small.gif\" alt=\"1aa-APWU-small\" width=\"295\" height=\"182\" \/><\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p>The four unions are working together at the national level to produce flyers, posters, T-shirts and press releases, and they are encouraging their members to work together to organize local events. A special web page,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.stopmaildelays.org\/\"><em>www.StopMailDelays.org<\/em><\/a><em>,<\/em><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>has been created to share information and resources.\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.apwu.org\/sites\/apwu\/files\/resource-files\/Flyer_for_Postal_Employees.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Flyers<\/a><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>are now available for union locals and branches to distribute to their members. Information about local activities can be printed on the back.
